About The Attendee

Please answer the following questions.  When permitted, please do not answer, "On File" or "Already Answered" as this will put your application in an incomplete status.

Team Roles & Talks

Please read the following descriptions of the Team Roles to determine which role you would most like to serve in.  Keep in mind that you may not get your first choice.  Please remember that serving on a team for New Beginnings is a servant leadership role and that the most important thing is to ensure that the participants have good experiences.

Family Group Leaders
Are friendly and approachable.  These team members often carry the weight of the participants' first impression of the weekend. They set the tone for family groups.  Family Group Leaders must be willing to understand how middle schoolers think, feel and act.  They must be willing to facilitate conversation amongst people who may not know each other well. This group works directly with the Shepherd.

PWT (Program, Worship & Technology)
Are first and foremost, flexible team members.  PWT members often have to do things behind the scenes to assist in worship, Family Groups, and hospitality.  The role of PWT is to learn but to also follow.  Sometimes PWT members will be upfront teaching an energizer or leading worship, and sometimes they will be in the crowd giving participants someone to follow.  PWT spread themselves out among the crowd getting to know participants in large groups and at meals.  This team assists the weekend's musician with slide changes and other technological needs.  This team works directly with the Guide.

Deacons
Have a servant's heart.  Deacons are mostly behind the scenes ensuring that Family Groups have the supplies they need when they meet.  They assist the Hospitality Coordinator with snacks, set-up, and clean-up.  Deacons often need to be flexible and have the capacity to problem-solve.  They get to know participants by sitting among them during large group meeting times, walking to and from Family Group meetings, and sitting with participants at meals.  Deacons work directly with the Archdeacon.
